Getting Here

Schipol Airport is the Amsterdam International Airport and is located just outside of town. There is very easy access into Amsterdam with a choice of either a taxi, train or buses.

For more information on Schipol airport, check out their website: www.schiphol.com

Below are a few simple ways to get to our house.

Train and Tram - Via Central Station - The Scenic Route

Schipol Train Station is located in the airport and is easily found outside the arrival hall in the Schipol Plaza.

You can purchase a train ticket to Amsterdam Central Station from the yellow ticket machines above the platforms. Train tickets cost €3.70 for a one-way journey.

There are roughly 5 trains an hour leaving to Central Station during peek hours. If you are departing/arriving at night or in the early morning, be aware the night trains run only once an hour at off hours.

Generally the train to Central Station leaves from platform 1 or 2, but check the signs to be sure. Journey time is approximately 15 – 20 mins.

From Central Station you can take a taxi, tram or bus.

We recommend the tram, journey time is approximately 15 – 20 mins and will cost €2.50. Take Tram #4 and get off at the Keizersgracht stop. It used to go down the Utrechtstraat and stop just outside of our house. Due to some improvements they are doing to the Bridges, it now goes down the Vijzelstraat, just two blocks away from us.

Our Address is:

As for where to leave your car, we would recommend P + R (Park and Ride). These car parks are located on the outskirts of the city and have excellent public transport connections that will bring you straight to our house.

Chances are you won’t be needing your car while in Amsterdam and parking fees can be expensive in the centre of Amsterdam where we are.

Parking in a P+R car park costs only €8.00 per 24 hours – with a maximum parking time of 96 hours (4 days). This fee includes public transport to the centre of Amsterdam for a maximum of five people.

The easiest P+R car park for us is the P+R Olympisch Stadion. From there you take the #16 or #24 Tram and get off at the Keizersgracht stop. From there we are 2 blocks east along the Keizersgracht. For more info and the address, visit the P+R Olympisch Stadion website.
